The people of the museum seem to have run away from the past. Proud of their heritage, they inspire you with their stories.
Do your children go 'to work' at the children's yard or do they prefer to play on the beautiful Zaanse square? Will it be poffertjes with powdered sugar, hearty home-made soup or the baker's fresh currant bun? And how do we travel today? Grab the historic tram or walk through time.

De Hoge Veluwe National Park covers 5,400 hectares of different landscapes. You will find beautiful forests, heaths, sand drifts, fens and lakes. Countless animals live in the Park, including pigs, red deer, roe deer, and mouflons.
The easiest way to explore this vast area is by bike. You can find these free of charge bicycles at different locations in the park but also at the Hoenderloo, Otterlo and Schaarsbergen entrances so that you can board immediately upon arrival. There are also white bicycles for children (without training wheels) and bicycles with child seats in front or behind.
The best way to get to know the nature of the Hoge Veluwe is during a safari. The forester takes you on a four-hour walk and shows you all the special places in the park. A night trip where you sleep under the bare starry sky is also possible; Every month there are changing safaris, tailored to the (wild) season. In the summer there are also special children's safaris.
You can of course also spot yourself. The greatest chance that you can see game is in the afternoon and evening at one of the different game observation posts placed in the park.
